Sugar Cane Molasses A+ is used in conjunction with EM-1 to make EM Active (EMA). Adding a sugar source like sugar cane molasses A+ to EM-1 and culturing the micro-organisms ensures that the microbes are fully active prior to application.
The main reason to activate EM is to make EM more economical to use. A 250ml bottle of EM-1 expanded with a 250ml bottle of A+ molasses will make 5 litres of EM Active (EMA).
